Google is interested in parsing natural language text, so any research
they did would probably be geared to trying to do automatically what
Cyc and OMC have people do by hand.
If, however, Google just gloms onto an AI designed by someone else, it
might be one designed to use those knowledge bases.
I'd be more interested in a collaboration between Google and text
content providers, to insert XML annotations in their content that
would tell Google's search engine something about what the content
meant.
