So maybe the "old hands" need to get out more. They have almost no
credibility outside of LessWrong because they have never honestly engaged
those who raise good counterarguments.

Your post is typical. Insult anyone who doesn't think what you think and
play by your rules. Shut down anyone who dares to be different.

Why do you want to close this list instead of celebrating it's possible
rebirth when even you admit "LW doesn't have SL4's topics as official or to
some extent actual focus of discussion"

Why don't you address the posts made recently in an open forum? Do your
points not stand up without an echo chamber?

Rationality would seem to suggest bringing the old hands over here -- unless
you have the usual ulterior motives.
