Flexing my powers of armchair philosophy, I can say that the Simulation
Argument solves a number of probabilistic conundrums. For example, a
simulation restricted in both space and time addresses both the Fermi
Paradox (no evidence of alien civilizations) and the Doomsday Argument (why
we find ourselves alive at this point in history).
