You can of course. Not just in places like the Netherlands, but it is
legal anywhere to quit eating/drinking and die of dehydration.
I have been on several standby situation where that is exactly what the
person did.
Incidentally my father lived 30 years beyond my age (62) now, my mother
close to that amount and her older sister is still alive at 96.
My parents were lucid up to the time they died, my aunt is not in good
physical shape but her mind is still there.
My wife, my daughter and I have been signed up with Alcor since 1985.
