This is a very old question and not really singularity-specific. Today,
most decisions,
even the political ones, are made very undemocratically. We don't even
vote for
someone we like or trust. The only thing voting is good for to prevent

makers from becoming dictators with absolute power. That's all.
And I think, this is right. I would not want to live in a country where
the decisions
itself are made democratically.
