It's a common view. The future archeologist will dig
after the Coke bottles and wondered what a ritual was
behind those artifacts.

The common irrationality, which goes deeper than
anybody would imagine. It is all over, penetrating also
deep into the science. For example, what if there was a
river as big as Amazon on the Antarctica? In a 100
years, the world Ocean would be about 2 meters higher.
Seeing such a river as fact, is quite irrational. But
an entire community apparently see it.

How much this irrationality is alive, well and deeply
rooted inside human minds, was never fully understood.
So no wonder, that the majority couldn't possibly
understand the Singularity. Too rational concept,
which goes against everything they stand for.
