All I can say is: Oh dear. Sure it was funny, but
his purpose seems to have been to ridicule
singularitarians. I found it to be terribly
uninformed and condescending.

You can expect much more where that came from. As I
predicted, being a singularitarian activist is going
to expose you to public ridicule.
