Tomorrow (Thursday, 10 March, 2004), the Arizona state legislature
votes on HB 2637 [summary], a bill that would seriously restrict Alcor,
a company that cryogenically freezes people so that future medical
technology can restore them either from death or fatal illness. If you
wish to express objection, you must do so immediately. You do not need
to live in Arizona but should have an interest in Alcor's future.
For more details please see the Immortality Institute's action alert.
The alert includes details on who to contact and how to reach them and
suggestions on what to say.
Thanks.
(Apologies for sending HTML e-mail, but it was the easiest way since I
had already written the copy with hypertext links. Some of you may not
find this relevant to the Singularity, but I think there's sufficient
interest to make it worth posting.)
