In the notes to Kurzweil's Age of Spiritual Machines (p.320) there is some
source data to the typical exponential growth graph. It goes back to 1900
and includes both price and calculations per second. It's dated now, but
all we need to do is fill in the last coupla years. He lists quite a few
web sites in the notes as well.
