For me, realizing there's a high chance we are living in a
"simulation" was
part of a larger process of recognizing the semi-reality of
the world
around me ("semireal" being a PhilDickian term

        ### If you look at the question of reality from a multiverse QM
point of view, the likelihood of us living in a simulation is indeterminate,
or low. I had once an interesting exchange with a few people on the
Extropian list, and I really think that Nick Bostrom's analysis is no longer
applicable. The recent factorization of the number 15 by a quantum
mechanical algorithm makes the existence of the other branches of reality
increasingly difficult to ignore.
