Geographically distributed projects like Webmind can't apply all of the practices (not until we have live teleconferencing :-) ). But the core programming practices (Pair Programming, Refactoring, Test-first, and Simple Design) seem to be universally applicable. And XP is like patterns: most of the practices have been practiced by the top programmer and teams for quite a while. So when one of those sees XP most of it is nothing new. This is a good sign. :-)
