As it is always with a collection of separate entities, the quality of
individual elements in that collection tends to differ; so it is
undeniably with this book. If some of the essays are truly worth
reading (as they are), a large part of the book still consists of
balancing between philosophy and misticism (the entire Part II, quite
descriptively titled 'Soul Searching', some
amount of Parts V and VI, with more glimpses from here and there
through the whole volume), at times clearly adhering to the latter.
