I don't think he has ENOUGH hubris. He's all safety measures this and "let's
be fair" that. No sweeping gestures, no maniacal laughter, no "total
destruction will come to those who laughed at me and failed to heed my
warning".
Humility's all well and good, but there comes a point where somebody has to
stand in the spotlight, and I'd rather it be a mad scientist than the
invisible hand of humanity's collective will. I wouldn't trust that
invisible hand thing to run the fog machine, frankly.
