Seriously, this should be handled by the list owner.
Set the mail list software to refuse to accept attachments.
Many mail lists refuse attachments (and HTML also) to avoid virus
transmission. Text can easily be copied and pasted into the body of
the message, with a url link to the original, if necessary.
