Look at my novel TRANSCENSION for the inevitable ambiguity (this
person is posthuman, after all). The book opens as the AI
speaks/meditates ser love for humankind.

And even more so, the ai of THE WHITE ABACUS.

The situation with the Good Machine in GODPLAYERS and K-MACHINES is
very much more morally complex and ambiguous.
