For some reason the Simulation Argument is always posed in terms of
"ancestor simulations", as if the simulators were necessarily evolved from
real-world humans. But it would make more sense for the hypothesis just to
be that we are a generic artificial-life simulation, whose physics, biology
and history has no particular relationship to that of the real world.
