There are at least two good objections to this:
- It is very human to say that the Cheney-God is a worse outcome than,
say, extinction of intelligent life. (I don't consider the extinction
of intelligent life a likely outcome, though.)
- Serving Cheney and his Friendly AI could be better than being
stomped on by an unfriendly AI.
But I still think the original idea has some merit, so I'd like to see
the reaction.
