Kurzweil assumes a gradually quickening progression in achieving singularity-ish technologies. I think that there are a few technologies, AGI and MNT in particular, where progress, regression, extinction, or even a permanent negative human quality-of-living are possible. The occurance of these events are discreet levers in history and will not be subject to any smooth technological curve.

this board if they have any "significant" differences from Kurzweil's
opinions and projections on the Singularity or other significant matters
and why. Again, I am only interested in "significant" differences and
will leave that to your judgment.
