Maybe we need a computer game, in which you try to build an
increasingly intelligent machine to combat hordes of nanobots, using
some kind of scripting language. Anyone completing the challenge could
then be given a special email address. Hey, it could catch on....!
You'd probably be able to pick out a few genuises that way, make a few
bucks along the way, and also gain some experience in some of the
practical problems of solving the kinds of problems we have been
imagining over on the SL4 list...
