Which first: Molecular nanotechnology or artificial intelligence?

Yeah, I know this question sucks. But I'm curious. Which do you think has the higher probability of coming into being first - real molecular nanotechnology or real artificial intelligence?

If those terms are ambiguous, then by "real molecular nanotechnology" I mean nanomachines, nanocomputers, nanofactories, etc.; and by "real artificial intelligence" I mean whatever would make the Singularity Institute say "Yeah, we did it."

My personal bias is towards MNT - if only because I know absolutely nothing about artificial intelligence and never will.

(Oh, and I don't mean which would you like to see happen first, or pray would happen first - just what you think will happen first.)
