Doesn't follow, at least for your premises. (Of course there are perfectly
good reasons for animal experiments, even unanaesthesized ones -- like a
latter day version of what Suda did to his frozen kitties).
How do you know animals feel pain? The same pain people do? They don't talk.
Why does other pain pain me, personally? How do I measure that?
Why shouldn't we do the same thing other predators do? Little rodent has not
AK-47 and cluster bombs to come back after you and yours, after you slaughter
its entire kin in the homogenizer.
Quales don't even begin to answer these questions. Evolpsych and game theory,
and empirical study of emphatic neurocircuitry (mirror neurons & dozens of
other systems) do.
Which is why quales are a sterile hypothesis, and should be by right
off-limit to this list. It isn't, which shows how far gone this list is.
It is not too late, though. Takes some hard work, though.
