Yep, good points. Though I should point out the killthreads in these
particular cases were not permanent bans on *all* further discussion of
the topic but rather (1) a halt to the specific points being reiterated
(in the Date of Singularity discussion) and (2) a halt to the discussion
of religion as religion without SL4 content (in the second case).
One good reason not to have a formal list of banned topics is that it
*is* possible to say something new about them. It's just rarely done.
