Quantum factoring

Now it's been demonstrated, at least on a small scale:

We now know, in a great boon to scientific knowledge, that 15 = 3 x 5.

The funny thing is, the physicist Rolf Landauer (a well-known skeptic of
quantum computation) once said "After fifteen years and fifteen billion
dollars, quantum computers will be able to factor the number 15." (by which
he obviously meant they won't be able to do much more than factor 15). Now
it's been done in less time and (probably) far less money, so they only
have to factor 18 or 21 to prove him wrong. Unfortunately Landauer died
in 1999 so nobody gets the fun of mocking him. ;)
