Just in case you might be interested:
Over the past couple weeks there's been an evolving thread over on the
"nanotech" list at yahoogroups. It started out with persistent comments
by Mark Gubrud disparaging transhumanism, and has now moved into a near-
full-blown FAI vs. relinquishment free for all. I curious how long Mark
will stick it out, we'll see.
Also there was a very short thread on the extropians list over a week
ago with the creator of GAC, Chris Mckinstry. Not much to see there, he
basically got flamed by a few people for all his hype. He did give a
few details about his work, and they seemed way too simplistic to ever
accomplish much.
(all this IMO only of course)
