Providing that the AI is hooked up to a factory in order to produce new machines that can house better AIs (which I thought was one of the fundamental ideas behind seed AI, correct me if I'm wrong), it could build some kind of "helper robots" -- the NEW and IMPROVED human, making us obsolete. Sure, this is paranoid thinking, but I like to explore every possibility.
